Yes. After the free trial or the paid period ends, your data is kept read-only for 6 months. An Admin or Accounts / Payroll can pay on the Billing page at any time in that period and you carry on exactly where you left off, straight away.
After 6 months the data may be deleted, unless the law requires part of it to be kept longer.
